I am a Technical and Creative Writer currently located in Texas. I have a Bachelors degree in Technical Communications, with a minor in Creative Writing from Texas Tech University. I have professional experience in content writing and editing. I am high energy and detail oriented, able to multitask, I enjoy being a team player, and I work well under pressure. I have studied and lived in hubs such as New York City and Austin as well as abroad in London and Munich. I feel that travel is an important part of any education, and it has helped me to adapt and navigate in new cultures, and how to communicate effectively within and for these cultures. I hope to use my skills to create content that is not only universal, but enjoyable.
Professional Statement
I am a Technical and Creative Writer, with a Bachelors degree from Texas Tech University. I believe my strengths to be technical writing, creative writing, editing, rhetoric, design, web design, and usability research. I have taken many courses concerning these skills and have proven myself to be proficient in them. I chose a degree in Technical Communications because of the range of knowledge it afforded me. Because of this, I would like to gain more practical experience. I have had many jobs that, at the time, I did not know fell under the umbrella of Technical Communications, but these jobs helped me to focus on what I enjoyed doing and what I excel at. I have worked as a blog editor, and a blog writer for local and personal businesses. I have also worked as an educator, which not only taught me patience, but also taught me how to interpret information and help others to learn. I have experience using Dreamweaver, HTML and CSS, and have experience creating and designing websites. In 2020, I participated in an internship with Texas Tech University running Usability tests and coding information in the campus Usability Lab. My current goals are to continue to learn through experience, and to learn new skills. I believe that experience is an important part of any education, and I look forward to participating in new environments where I can expand my skills.
